Paul’s career has taken him from the corner offices of Fortune 500 companies to the halls of Congress to the front lines of America’s efforts to restore its global competitiveness. He began his professional career working for Ewing Kauffman’s Marion Laboratories where he quickly became a top salesperson. He held various management positions in pharmaceutical and medical services industries before purchasing a Kansas City-based independent insurance agency.
He subsequently co-founded and served as executive director of a state-based public policy organization associated with Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council. Sensing a call from God, Paul reentered the corporate world and has had the privilege of working in or with most every major corporation in the Kansas City region.
All of his business and professional accomplishments pale in comparison to the joy he derives from being with his wife, Paige, and their family. They have three grown children and four grandchildren, so his most coveted title is that of “Papa.”
Paul’s life verse can be found in the words of his namesake, the Apostle Paul:
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20 ESV)
We all want compelling work environments in which we ignite imaginations throughout the company and motivate people to achieve new levels of teamwork and productivity, but for many of us, this ideal feels out of reach.
Consumed by work. Arriving early to the office. Staying late. Working weekends. Feeling frustrated by the daily constraints, all while worrying about the company’s future performance. Living this way sends the possibility of a balanced life out the window. Sound familiar to you?
